Course Description
Overview
After completing this zero theory Communicating through the new millennia course, students will learn how to identify each generation´s style and essence to improve the communication process, as well as all the components necessary for delivering an assertive communication. Know how to handle difficult situations effectively using their hidden talent and identify the different types of negative communicators through the Tetramap® methodology and the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.Objectives
- Understand the basic concepts, elements, and obstacles along the communication process.
- Identify, understand, and apply the different communication techniques.
- Recognize our own communication modalities and identify areas of opportunity.
- Develop and reinforce skills for greater interpersonal effectiveness.
- Manage interpersonal communications dimensions with and between its collaborators.
Audience
- Any person within an organization, who needs to improve their results and that basically lies in errors of interpretation, due to ineffective communication, whether internal or external, verbal or written.
Prerequisites
- Students must have at least 15 LEGO blocks which can include figures.
- Excellent disposition and openness along with the willingness to play and share what you build with the entire group!

- Construction of a shared model between common elements
- Construction of a shared model by mixing all the elements
- Construction of an individual model which reflects each participant’s concept of communication
- Construction of an individual model which reflects at least two things that participants believe assertiveness should include
- Explanation of the tools of assertiveness
- Construction of an individual model which reflects one factor that prevent assertiveness in the real world
- Explain some of these personalities, along with their main characteristics and behaviors
- Construction of an individual model which reflects each member´s component
- Construction of a shared aspirational model which reflects the way participants would like to start communicating from now on
- Construction of an individual model which reflects each member´s strength
- Construction of an individual model of everything that prevents the aspirational model take place in the real world
- Modification and destruction of the shared model through the agents created
- Participants will be asked to write down at least two events that could happen in a real time scenario. One has 50% probability of happening and the other 100% probability
- These are put to the vote and a maximum of four will be chosen depending on the number of participants
- After that, they will be asked a series of questions which will bring out their real values
- The task is to rebuild the aspirational model to verify that participants were really working as a team with the same goals and mission in common
- The D.E.S.C method
- Tips for avoiding conflicts while communicating something of great importance
- Construction of individual models based on their commitments, considering their beliefs
