Overview
This course introduces the fundamentals of IBM FlashSystems, including flash technology, FlashCore Modules, and the IBM FlashSystem family. Learners will gain an understanding of how flash architecture delivers high performance, efficiency and reliability for modern workloads.
The course explores IBM FlashSystem storage powered by IBM Storage Virtualize, including key software capabilities such as data reduction, FlashCopy, replication, safeguarded copy, policy-based protection, and hybrid cloud integration. Learners will also review use cases, configuration concepts, monitoring, and resilience features.
With data growth accelerating and demands increasing across AI, analytics, cloud and mission-critical applications, FlashSystem helps organizations consolidate storage, increase performance, reduce latency, lower power and space consumption, and simplify management. By the end of this course, participants will understand how IBM FlashSystem improves infrastructure efficiency and enables scalable, resilient and cloud-ready data environments.

- Recognize key features and components of IBM FlashSystem 5300, including hardware design, configuration options, and host connectivity
- Use the FlashSystem GUI at a basic level, including navigating storage pools, monitoring capacity, and accessing features such as Safeguarded Copy and policy-based replication
