Course Description
Overview
This course is designed to provide students with general technical knowledge for application architects and developers to effectively utilize IBM’s WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) to integrate new and existing applications.This course covers the architecture, administration, and use of WMB. Throughout this course, students will be using the graphical user interface Message Broker Toolkit to develop, test and manage message flows, message sets and apply them in applications. IBM supplied nodes are described and exercises to implement them are provided. Tools to deploy and debug message flows are featured. ESQL concepts and common functions will be covered. This course is based on WMB Version 6.1.
Objectives
- Apply the fundamental concepts of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and how the role WMB may play on the implementation
- Utilize the components of Message Broker
- Operate the Message Broker Toolkit
- Develop and test Message Flows using different transports
- Recognize the functions of many of the IBM supplied Nodes
- Modify basic ESQL in message flows to do message transformation and routing
- Access Databases in Message flow
- MaintainTransaction integrity in Message Flows
- Create and use simple message layouts using the Message Repository Manager (MRM)
- Apply WMB mapping to transform messages
- EmployJAVA to do transformation and routing messages in Message Flows
- Identify determination tools to isolate problems
- Describe functions of Publish and Subscribe provided by WMB
- Distinguish functions of WMB to provide Web Service and SOAP/HTTP access in message flows
- Operate JMS in flows
- Classify the security features provided by the Message Broker
