Upon completion of the Developing on AWS with Certification Prep course, students will be able to:

Understand the exam structure and question types
Identify questions that relate to AWS development concepts
Interpret the concepts being tested by an exam question
Allocate your time studying for the exam
Set up the AWS SDK and developer credentials for Java, C#/.NET, Python, and JavaScript

Prerequisites

One or more years of hands-on experience designing and maintaining an AWS-based application

Phase 1 – Instructor-led study and practice (3 to 4 days)

The instructor-led phase of exam preparation consists of delivering the following two official AWS courses. These could optionally be condensed into one continuous 3-day delivery.

Developing on AWS (3 days)
Exam Readiness: AWS Certified Developer Associate (1 day)

As part of the course delivery, all of the above-mentioned study materials will be introduced and discussed in more detail and recommendations will be given on how to use them to prepare for the exam. The courses themselves also include numerous hands-on labs.

Phase 2 – Self-study and practice (1 to 2 months)

The self-study phase of exam preparation consists of going over all of the above-mentioned study materials, doing the hands-on labs and taking the practice tests, until participants start scoring satisfactorily on these practice tests. At this point they can proceed to schedule the actual certification exam with a high degree of certainty that they will pass on their first attempt.
